Project Motivation
The motivation for this project stems from the desire to ensure the existence of the Ilokano language for the future generations.
The communication between Ilokano and English speakers may not always be clear. Since the English language has become the lingua franca of the world, it is important to establish clear communication between the Ilokano and English languages, so that both languages may continue to co-exist. Therefore, the goal of TOIDP is to develop an extensive online Ilokano/English language dictionary, and provide the general public with an online resource to utilize.
